Rev. JoAnn Barrett

Rev. JoAnn Barrett was ordained in 1995 as an Interspiritual Minister which is a movement to acknowledge and bridge the essence of all faiths and each individual’s experience of them. She founded Gathering of Light Interspiritual Fellowship that has met each week since 1996 and recently Lightpaths Wisdom Studies an Interspiritual Seminary. She has a master’s in Social Policy specializing in bridging social service organizations with religious communities. She has created many Interfaith bonding and social work activities including Voices of Faith for Peace, S.T.A.R.T.E.R. Pack Program and Bedding For Babes to name a few. She has worked as the Clinical Director for Addiction Agencies. She is currently the CoChair of Suffolk County’s Interfaith AntiBias Task Force along with other positions. She is a published author and poet.
