Born and brought up in Mumbai, India, Anu was surrounded by friends and
neighbors from different faiths and cultures. Always inquisitive, always exploring
and keeping an open mind, she developed a deep respect for "BEING." She was
raised by parents who are students of science: a mother who is a doctor and a
father who is an engineer. The loving atmosphere at home gave her permission to
explore the mind. She had the good fortune of travelling the world at a young age.
Experiencing different cultures and endless conversations with friends and
strangers alike gave her a healthy insight for "Acceptance."
Anu Bindra lives on Long Island with her husband and two sons. They practice the
"SIKH Way of Life." The Bindra family has been participating in interfaith events
for over a decade now. Anu hopes to raise her twins the same way: rejoicing in the
"difference" one can find "similarities."
The one living an "active, creative, and practical life" of "truthfulness, fidelity,
self-control and purity" is above the metaphysical truth, and that the ideal man
"establishes union with God, knows His Will, and carries out that Will." Source is
there for everyone alike, just as the air we breathe does not differentiate, based on
our faiths, cultures, beliefs. It just gives freely the life we so much desire!
