Sayed Ali Hassan is Muslim American faith leader and international lecturer working towards bridges of peace. He was born and raised in New York City and has been involved in community service work for many years in order to help the betterment of society. After completing his Masters in Finance, he studied Islamic studies in the Al Hujjah Islamic Seminary of Michigan and then went on to pursue the traditional path of Islamic Scholarship at the Islamic Seminary ( Hawza Ilmiyah) of Najaf and Karbala in Iraq. He now continues his Islamic studies academically and is currently enrolled in the Masters in Islamic Studies Program at the Islamic College of London in partnership with Middlesex University. He holds leadership positions in two New York based Non Profit organizations both which work for the betterment of society He is the Vice chairman of The Ahlul Bayt Society of New York (Absocnorthamerica.org) and the Spiritual lead for Who is Hussain New York and New Jersey Chapters (Whoishussain.org). He is driven by the teachings of Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib in which he says, " Man is either your brother in Faith or your equal in Humanity" and works towards building bridges between the Muslim community and others in order to build a more tolerant society where differences are celebrated rather than feared.
